Volkswagen Launches Taigun and Virtus Onam Editions

Volkswagen Taigun & Virtus Onam Editions

Volkswagen India has added a touch of festive flair with the launch of special Onam editions for its popular models, the Taigun SUV and Virtus sedan. These limited-edition vehicles, exclusively available in Kerala, are priced competitively between Rs 14.08 lakh and Rs 15.63 lakh for the Taigun, and Rs 13.57 lakh and Rs 14.87 lakh for the Virtus (ex-showroom).

The launch of these special editions coincides with the joyous festival of Onam and the expansion of Volkswagen’s footprint in Kerala with six new dealerships. This strategic move underscores the automaker’s commitment to the state and its discerning customers.

Unique All-Black Aesthetics and Feature-Packed Offerings

Both the Taigun and Virtus Onam Editions boast a striking all-black exterior and interior, setting them apart from their standard counterparts. Black chrome accents adorn the grille and other elements, adding a touch of sophistication. Additional features include front parking sensors, a dual-tone horn, puddle lamps, and a distinctive TSI badge on the front fender.

Building on the strengths of their respective base variants, the Taigun Onam Edition is derived from the GT Line, while the Virtus Onam Edition is based on the Highline. Both models offer a comprehensive feature list, including 17-inch alloy wheels (Taigun), an 8-inch digital driver display, a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, a powered sunroof (Taigun), ventilated front seats, and automatic climate control.

Powerful Performance and Competitive Pricing

Under the hood, both Onam editions are equipped with a spirited 115hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, delivering a perfect blend of performance and efficiency. Customers can choose between a smooth 6-speed manual or convenient automatic gearbox. Notably, despite the exclusive nature of these editions, Volkswagen has maintained competitive pricing, making them even more appealing to potential buyers.

A Strategic Move for Volkswagen

By introducing the Onam editions, Volkswagen has demonstrated its understanding of regional preferences and its commitment to catering to specific market demands. The limited availability of 100 units each for the Taigun and Virtus Onam Editions is likely to create a sense of exclusivity and drive demand.

The expansion of Volkswagen’s dealership network in Kerala is a significant step towards strengthening its presence in the state. This increased accessibility will undoubtedly benefit customers and contribute to the brand’s growth.

As the festive season unfolds, Volkswagen is also offering attractive discounts on other models, making it an opportune time for car enthusiasts to explore their options. While the Onam editions are undoubtedly tempting, potential buyers can also consider pre-owned Volkswagen Virtus models, but careful evaluation is essential before making a decision.
