Tata Harrier and Safari Stealth Editions: Prices Out, Starting at ₹25.09 Lakh, Featuring Blacked-Out Design

Tata Harrier and Safari Stealth Editions

Tata Motors has expanded its tradition of special editions with the launch of the Harrier and Safari Stealth Editions. These limited-edition models, showcased at the Auto Expo 2025, feature a distinctive matte black exterior and a unique interior design. Only 2,700 units of each will be available.

The Safari Stealth Edition, based on the top-spec Accomplished+ variant, commands a Rs 25,000 premium over the standard model. It’s offered with both manual and automatic transmissions, as well as a six-seater configuration. Prices range from Rs 25.29 lakh for the manual to Rs 27.34 lakh for the automatic (and Rs 26.44 lakh for the 6-seater automatic). The Harrier Stealth Edition, based on the Fearless Plus trim, is also available with both manual and automatic options, priced at Rs 25.09 lakh and Rs 26.24 lakh, respectively (ex-showroom).

The most noticeable change is the exclusive matte black paint job, which gives both SUVs a sharper and more stealthy appearance. This is complemented by blacked-out elements, including the grille, alloy wheels, and ORVMs. While the overall design and silhouette remain unchanged, the blacked-out treatment significantly enhances their visual appeal. However, the matte black finish may require extra care to maintain its pristine look, as it tends to attract dust.

Inside, the Stealth Editions feature an all-black interior scheme, replacing the standard premium and sophisticated look with a sportier vibe. Black upholstery and gloss black inserts further contribute to the unique interior aesthetic. Feature highlights include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, powered and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate, dual-zone climate control, multi-colour ambient lighting, and Level-2 ADAS.

Mechanically, the Harrier and Safari Stealth Editions remain unchanged, utilizing the familiar 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 170 PS and 350 Nm. This engine is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The standard Safari, priced from Rs 15.49 lakh to Rs 26.99 lakh (ex-showroom), competes with models like the MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV700, and lower-spec Jeep Meridian variants. The Stealth Edition adds a distinct flavor to the top-spec Safari and Harrier, and its real-world presence is expected to be quite impactful.
