Tata Curvv: A New Era Begins with ATLAS Platform

Tata Curvv

Tata Motors has unveiled a significant step forward in its automotive journey with the introduction of its new Adaptive Tech-Forward Lifestyle Architecture (ATLAS) platform. This groundbreaking architecture will underpin the upcoming Tata Curvv SUV coupe in its Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) avatar.

The Curvv, a stylish blend of SUV robustness and coupe elegance, is set to captivate the Indian automotive market. While its electric variant will be based on Tata’s proven Acti.ev platform, the ICE version will benefit from the advanced ATLAS architecture. This platform is engineered to deliver exceptional ride quality, handling, and safety, while also offering the flexibility to accommodate multiple powertrain options.

ATLAS: The Backbone of Future Tata Cars

Tata’s vision extends beyond the Curvv. The ATLAS platform is poised to become the foundation for upcoming models like the Sierra and the next-gen Nexon. This strategic move signifies Tata’s commitment to technological advancement and its ambition to cater to a diverse range of customer preferences.

Powertrain Options for the Tata Curvv

The ICE-powered Curvv will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.2-litre GDI turbo petrol motor delivers a punchy 123 bhp and 225 Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre diesel engine offers 117 bhp and 260 Nm of torque. Additionally, a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine, familiar from the Nexon, will be offered on lower variants, producing 118 bhp and 170 Nm of torque.

A standout feature is the introduction of a dual-clutch automatic (DCA) transmission for both petrol and diesel variants, promising swift and efficient gear shifts.

The Countdown Begins

With the design and technical details unveiled, the automotive world eagerly awaits the pricing of the Tata Curvv. Scheduled for August 7, 2024, the launch is expected to generate significant interest. As we inch closer to the grand reveal, anticipation for this stylish and technologically advanced SUV coupe continues to build.
