New Honda Amaze Launched in India

2024 Honda Amaze

Honda Cars India has launched the third-generation Amaze in India, priced between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This sub-compact sedan is available in three variants: V, VX, and ZX, with both manual and CVT automatic transmission options.

Exterior Design

The 2024 Amaze boasts a refreshed exterior design, drawing inspiration from other Honda models. The twin-pod LED headlights resemble those of the Elevate, while the grille bears a striking resemblance to the global Honda Accord. The fog lamp housing and chrome bar on the grille echo the design of the Honda City.

The side profile features new 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and a LaneWatch camera integrated into the left ORVM, similar to the City. The rear end sports wraparound LED taillights, completing the modern and stylish look.

Interior and Features

The Amaze’s interior maintains the familiar black and beige color scheme. The dashboard, inspired by the Elevate, features a freestanding touchscreen and a 3-spoke steering wheel. A black-patterned trim extends from the passenger side of the dashboard to the center AC vents.

The feature list includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control with rear vents, wireless phone charging, and paddle shifters for the CVT variants.

Safety is a priority with six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) offering features like lane-keep assist and forward collision warning.

Powertrain

The 2024 Amaze continues with the 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 90 PS and 110 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic.

Rivals and Warranty

The new Honda Amaze competes with other sub-compact sedans like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor. Honda offers a standard 3-year/unlimited-kilometer warranty, with optional extensions up to 7 years or 1.2 lakh kilometers.
