The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 continues to impress with its blistering performance. The automaker has now revealed that the ZTK Performance Package-equipped ZR1 can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 2.3 seconds and complete the quarter-mile in 9.6 seconds at 150 mph.
The standard ZR1 is slightly slower, achieving a 0-60 mph time of 2.5 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 9.7 seconds at 152 mph. All these figures were achieved using 93 octane pump fuel on a non-prepped drag strip surface.
These impressive numbers place the ZR1 among the fastest production cars in the world. While the Ferrari SF90 Stradale and Lamborghini Revuelto both reach 62 mph in 2.5 seconds, the ZR1’s acceleration and quarter-mile times are truly remarkable.
While the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon previously held the record for 0-60 mph and quarter-mile times, the more recent Demon 170 has surpassed those figures. However, factors like rollout can significantly impact these performance metrics.
Despite the competition, the Corvette ZR1 remains an impressive feat of engineering. As Corvette chief engineer Josh Holder stated, “The 2025 Corvette ZR1 yet again exceeded our expectations.” This exceptional performance, combined with a top speed of 233 mph, solidifies the ZR1’s position as a true performance benchmark, particularly considering its sub-$1 million price point.
The ZR1’s incredible performance is attributed to its potent twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine, delivering a staggering 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque. This powerhouse is paired with an upgraded eight-speed dual-clutch transmission featuring reinforced shafts and improved lubrication for optimal performance.
