A dream realized for many gamers and car enthusiasts, BMW has brought the iconic M3 GTR from Need for Speed: Most Wanted to life. This legendary racing car is currently on display at the BMW Welt museum in Germany until early January 2025.

Released in 2005, Need for Speed: Most Wanted captivated players with its thrilling gameplay and stunning visuals, and the E46 M3 GTR became an instant icon. Countless BMW owners have attempted to replicate the game’s iconic M3, but BMW has now officially brought the dream to reality.

Under the hood, the M3 GTR boasts a race-bred 4.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine, delivering around 450 horsepower. This high-performance engine sets it apart from the standard E46 M3, which was equipped with an inline-six engine.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Need for Speed series, BMW has collaborated with Electronic Arts to recreate the game’s signature silver and blue livery on the M3 GTR. This stunning visual tribute pays homage to the car’s virtual legacy.

If you’re in Germany or planning a visit, don’t miss the opportunity to see this legendary car up close. Head to the BMW Welt museum and experience a piece of gaming history.
