Lotus has unveiled a new high-performance variant of its Emira sports car, the Turbo SE. Joining the existing Turbo and V6 models, the Turbo SE boasts increased power and torque, along with unique features.

Under the hood, the Turbo SE is powered by the same AMG-sourced 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine as the base model. However, it produces a substantial boost in power, delivering 400 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. This surpasses the torque output of the Emira V6 while matching its horsepower.

To enhance its performance and handling, the Turbo SE comes standard with the Lotus Drivers Pack. This package includes sportier suspension settings, upgraded brakes, and launch control. The car also features unique styling elements such as forged wheels, a distinct paint color, and specific badging.

The “SE” in the Turbo SE’s name pays homage to the optional “Special Equipment” package offered in previous Lotus models, highlighting the car’s enhanced features and performance.

While sales of all three Emira models have begun in several regions, including Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa, the availability of the Turbo SE in the US market remains uncertain.
