Under the hood, the MT-07 continues to be powered by a 698cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that produces 72 horsepower. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox that can now be operated via Yamaha’s AMT system. The introduction of ride-by-wire technology enables a range of electronic rider aids, including traction control, multiple riding modes, power levels, and cruise control.
