Tata Motors, India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, has announced a partnership with Delta Electronics India and Thunderplus Solutions Pvt Ltd to expand the charging infrastructure for its electric commercial vehicles. Together, they will establish 250 new fast-charging stations across the country. These stations will be strategically located in over 50 cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, and Kochi. This expansion will boost the existing network of 540 charging points dedicated to commercial vehicles.

The rise of electric commercial vehicles (EVs) is being driven by e-commerce companies, courier services, and other industries that are adopting EVs for last-mile deliveries to reduce their carbon footprint. Tata Motors, with its deep understanding of EV movement, will recommend the best locations for setting up these fast-charging stations and the nearest Tata dealerships for customer convenience. Delta Electronics will provide the necessary hardware, while Thunderplus Solutions will handle installation and operations.

Vinay Pathak, Vice President & Business Head of SCV&PU, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, said, “Our goal is to make zero-emission cargo transport accessible. Expanding the charging infrastructure on high-demand routes will encourage more businesses to adopt electric commercial vehicles, increasing vehicle uptime and profitability while supporting a cleaner, greener environment. Installing fast chargers at our dealerships makes it convenient for our customers to charge at familiar, reliable locations.”

Niranjan Nayak, Managing Director of Delta Electronics India Pvt Ltd, stated, “Delta is committed to offering innovative, clean, and energy-efficient solutions. Partnering with Tata Motors and Thunderplus will help strengthen India’s electric cargo ecosystem. Our advanced charging technology will play a key role in enhancing the electric vehicle experience for users across the country.”
