Tom Cruise turned the Paris Olympics 2024 closing ceremony into a blockbuster spectacle, leaving the world in awe with his daring stunts and Hollywood-style grand entrance. The 62-year-old action star made a jaw-dropping descent from the roof of the Stade de France, landing with precision on the stage to a thunderous applause.
The iconic actor shared the stage with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, receiving the Olympic flag from the latter. In a scene straight out of a Mission Impossible movie, Cruise hopped on a motorcycle with the flag and rode out of the stadium, accompanied by the energetic beats of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “By The Way.”
The adrenaline-pumping sequence didn’t end there. A pre-recorded segment showcased Cruise riding his bike past the Eiffel Tower, before boarding a plane and skydiving over the Hollywood sign, which had been transformed with the Olympic rings to symbolize the handover to Los Angeles for the 2028 Games.

Social media erupted with fans expressing their disbelief and admiration for Cruise’s daring feat. Many hailed his performance as the highlight of the entire closing ceremony. The actor’s earlier appearance at the opening ceremony, alongside stars like Sarah Jessica Parker and Ariana Grande, had already generated significant buzz.
The three-hour closing ceremony, orchestrated by Thomas Jolly, was a vibrant celebration of Paris. The event kicked off with a musical tribute to the city, featuring French singer Zaho de Sagazan’s rendition of the iconic “Sous le ciel de Paris.” However, it was undoubtedly Tom Cruise’s electrifying performance that stole the show, leaving a lasting impression on viewers worldwide.
