For those yearning for a camper van experience with a unique twist, a custom-built 1955 Alfa Romeo T10 Autotutto presents a compelling alternative to the usual suspects. This vintage Italian van, originally from Sicily, has been transformed into a charming mobile home, offering a distinct departure from modern camper designs.
While the age of this Alfa Romeo might raise concerns about its dependability, its undeniable character makes it a standout choice. Currently up for auction in Germany, this vehicle is seeking a new owner who will appreciate its historical significance and adventurous spirit.
The T10 Autotutto is propelled by a 1,158cc two-stroke inline-twin diesel engine, augmented by a Roots supercharger, driving the front wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox. Positioned between the driver and passenger seats, this engine produced 31 horsepower when new.

The van’s true allure lies in its retro-styled living quarters. The rear features a compact bench seat, a metal sink, a gas stove, storage cabinets, and period-appropriate curtains, all evoking the charm of the 1950s. The raised roof provides ample headroom in the living area.

Although it lacks a dedicated bed, the bench seat conveniently folds out to create a sleeping space. The front cabin is equipped with two dark green seats, a classic three-spoke steering wheel, a prominent central speedometer, and basic air vents.

The van’s exterior, recently repainted, showcases an olive green and cream color scheme that complements its vintage aesthetic. It rides on matching 16-inch steel wheels, further enhancing its classic appeal.
