Pakistani Engineers Create Budget-Friendly Cybertruck Replica

Tesla Cybertruck replica

Since its unveiling in 2019, the Tesla Cybertruck has captivated global attention. However, for those outside North America, owning and driving an authentic Cybertruck remains a distant dream. Undeterred, a pair of Pakistani engineers have taken matters into their own hands by creating a remarkably accurate replica, albeit on a significantly smaller scale.

Commissioned by an undisclosed client, this unique creation reportedly cost a mere 3 million Pakistani rupees (approximately $10,800 USD), a fraction of the cost of an entry-level Cybertruck in the United States. This cost-effective approach is evident in the vehicle’s diminutive size, being considerably shorter, narrower, and lower than the original. Despite these size constraints, the replica retains the Cybertruck’s signature angular design, albeit with a somewhat exaggerated appearance.

A Convincing Imitation

Despite its smaller stature, the replica boasts several striking similarities to the original. It features the iconic front and rear LED light strips, black boxy arch extensions, and a functioning bed cover that flips up, mimicking the retractable cover of the real Cybertruck.

While the exact donor vehicle remains undisclosed, the presence of rear leaf springs suggests it was likely based on an existing pickup truck. It’s safe to assume that the powertrain is far from electric, likely relying on a traditional internal combustion engine.

A Testament to Ingenuity

While Western audiences might view such builds with a degree of amusement, it’s crucial to acknowledge the ingenuity and resourcefulness displayed by these Pakistani engineers. This project serves as a testament to the human spirit’s ability to replicate and adapt, even with limited resources.

This remarkable feat echoes the efforts of other skilled builders across Asia, such as the creator of the Nhet TV YouTube channel, who has garnered international attention for his meticulously crafted replicas of iconic supercars like Ferraris, Bugattis, and Paganis.
