Popular television actress Rupali Ganguly has found herself in the crosshairs of criticism after being spotted riding a scooter without a helmet in Mumbai. The incident occurred following the Star Parivaar Awards 2024, where Ganguly won two awards for her role in the show “Anupamaa.”

Another user took to social media to tag the RTO Mumbai, demanding a fine be issued for the helmetless ride. “RTO Mumbai please send fine without Helmet (laughing emojis),” they wrote.
Celebrity Privilege or Lawlessness?
The incident has sparked a debate about whether celebrities should be held to the same standards as ordinary citizens. Some users argued that Ganguly’s actions were a clear violation of traffic rules and should not be excused simply because she is a public figure.

Another user criticized Ganguly’s role model status, stating, “Without helmet that too! I thought Anupamaa was perfect and all of them want to be like her…bad role model…(laughing emoji).”
