Tata showcased the next iteration of its Avinya ultra-luxury concept at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, signaling a significant step towards production. Expected to reach the market in 2026, the Avinya X will propel Tata into a new, ultra-premium segment, venturing far beyond its current market positioning.
Design Evolution: From Coupe to Crossover
The Avinya X undergoes a notable design evolution, transitioning from its initial coupe-like profile to a more crossover-oriented stance. This shift aligns with expectations for the concept’s progression. Key design elements include a commanding ground clearance, large wheels, pop-out door handles, and distinctive wrap-around headlamps and tail lamps. The rear end presents a minimalist aesthetic with a connected tail lamp and gloss black bumpers.

Luxurious and Tech-Forward Interior
While interior details remain largely concealed, glimpses reveal a sophisticated cabin featuring a three-screen dashboard display and a prominent, freestanding fourth screen. Other notable features include a two-spoke steering wheel, a spacious center console, V2L and V2V capabilities, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, Level-2 ADAS, and multi-zone climate control.

Powertrain and Platform
The Avinya X is anticipated to utilize Jaguar Land Rover’s advanced EMA platform, underpinning an expected electric-only range of at least 500 kilometers. Both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations are likely to be offered. While primarily envisioned as an electric vehicle, considering the Indian market landscape, the Avinya X may also include at least one internal combustion engine option.
