Tata Motors Unveils Harrier EV at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025

Tata Harrier EV

Tata Motors has unveiled the highly anticipated Harrier EV at the upcoming Mobility Show in Delhi. Positioned to compete against the likes of the Maruti e-Vitara, Mahindra’s electric XUV, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, the Harrier EV marks a significant step forward in Tata’s electric vehicle strategy.

The Harrier EV retains the bold silhouette of its internal combustion engine sibling while incorporating design cues from the Curvv concept. The most prominent update is the introduction of a new matte paint finish, also seen on other stealth editions showcased at the event. The front fascia features a redesigned grille and distinctive LED lighting, while the rear boasts striking LED bar lamps.

The cabin layout remains largely unchanged, offering the same spacious and comfortable interior as the standard Harrier. However, the Harrier EV introduces a new user interface for the infotainment system and instrument cluster. The SUV continues to offer a comprehensive suite of features, including advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), advanced connectivity options, and a panoramic sunroof. Notably, the Harrier EV introduces an innovative “summon mode,” allowing the vehicle to autonomously drive short distances without driver intervention.

Powertrain and Performance

The Harrier EV is underpinned by Tata’s Gen2 architecture and features a sophisticated QWD (Quadruple Wheel Drive) system, delivering all-wheel-drive capabilities. Equipped with a powerful dual-motor setup, with one motor powering each axle, the Harrier EV promises impressive performance and exceptional off-road capabilities. Tata claims an impressive driving range of 500 kilometers on a single charge.
