Suzuki is set to make its foray into the Indian electric two-wheeler market with the unveiling of the Access Electric at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. Building upon the success of the popular Access 125, the Access Electric is expected to capitalize on strong brand recognition.
While specific details remain under wraps, the Access Electric is likely to maintain a conservative design aesthetic, drawing inspiration from its gasoline-powered counterpart. Suzuki is expected to employ a swingarm-mounted electric motor and a high-capacity battery pack, aiming for a real-world range of at least 100 kilometers per charge.
The chassis is likely to be an underbone frame, providing a solid foundation for the scooter. Suspension duties will likely be handled by a telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock. The Access Electric is expected to ride on 12-inch wheels and feature a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear for reliable stopping power.
As with most modern electric scooters, the Access Electric is anticipated to feature a sophisticated TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation capabilities.
Upon its launch, the Access Electric will face stiff competition from established players such as the Honda Activa e:, Ather 450X, TVS iQube, and the Bajaj Chetak.
