Rivian has unveiled California Dune Editions of its R1T pickup and R1S SUV, inspired by the desert landscapes of California. These special editions, following a sandy teaser last week, are based on the tri-motor configurations and feature unique styling enhancements both inside and out.
The exterior is distinguished by a California Dune paint finish complemented by black accents. Matching 20-inch wheels in California Dune are available, as are optional 20-inch wheels in Satin Graphite. Performance and practicality are boosted by the inclusion of the All-Terrain Package, which adds an air compressor and underbody protection. Roof-mounted crossbars with Maxtrax recovery boards are also standard. The R1T further benefits from a unique power tonneau cover and a spare tire.

Inside, the California Dune Editions feature an Adventure interior with Sandstone and Black Mountain upholstery, accented by dark ash wood trim and Chilewich floor mats.
Both the R1T and R1S California Dune Editions are powered by a tri-motor powertrain, combining a front electric motor with two rear motors for all-wheel drive. This setup delivers an impressive 850 hp (634 kW) and 1,103 lb-ft (1,494 Nm) of torque. Paired with the Max battery pack, these special editions can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in just 2.9 seconds and achieve an EPA-estimated range of 329 miles (529 km) on a single charge.
The R1T California Dune Edition starts at $99,900, while the R1S California Dune Edition is priced from $105,900. Both models are available for order now, with estimated delivery times of 1-6 weeks.
