Ola Electric has finally launched its highly anticipated electric motorcycle, the Roadster X, with prices starting at ₹74,999 (ex-showroom). This launch follows the recent release of their new generation S1 electric scooters. While the prices for the Roadster range were initially revealed last August, deliveries have yet to begin.
The company has announced that deliveries of the Roadster X are expected to start mid-March. Production of the electric motorcycle began last month at Ola’s Futurefactory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. The Roadster X is available in two main versions, the X and the X+, each with varying battery capacities. Ola is offering introductory prices for a limited time, after which the prices will increase. The introductory and actual prices for each variant are as follows:
- Roadster X 2.5 kWh: ₹74,999 (Introductory), ₹89,999 (Actual)
- Roadster X 3.5 kWh: ₹84,999 (Introductory), ₹99,999 (Actual)
- Roadster X 4.5 kWh: ₹94,999 (Introductory), ₹109,999 (Actual)

The Roadster X sports a modern, minimalist design, similar to Ola’s electric scooters, with sharp lines and a futuristic look. The battery pack is housed beneath a faux fuel tank, which also provides a small storage compartment. Design highlights include a sleek rectangular LED headlight with integrated DRL, a flat single-piece seat, and a single-piece grab rail. The overall styling gives it the appearance of a contemporary commuter motorcycle. The Roadster X and X+ are available in five colors: Ceramic White, Pine Green, Industrial Silver, Stellar Blue, and Anthracite.

In terms of features, the Roadster X boasts a 4.3-inch LCD digital instrument cluster, full LED lighting, cruise control, turn-by-turn navigation via Ola Maps, reverse mode, over-the-air updates, a digital key, and a DIY mode. Safety features include a tire pressure monitoring system, geo and time fencing, tow and theft detection, emergency SOS, and a vehicle locator.
The Roadster X utilizes a double-down tube chassis, conventional telescopic front forks, and a double coil rear suspension. Braking is handled by a front disc and a rear drum brake. The motorcycle rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.

The Roadster X offers three battery options: 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh, all paired with a 7 kW motor producing 9.4 bhp. It can reach a top speed of 118 kmph and accelerate from 0-40 kmph in 3.1 seconds. The top-spec 4.5 kWh variant offers a claimed range of 252 km.
The Roadster X+ comes with two battery options: 4.5 kWh and 9.1 kWh. It features an 11 kW motor generating 14.75 bhp, a top speed of 125 kmph, and a 0-40 kmph acceleration time of 2.7 seconds. The 4.5 kWh variant has a claimed range of 252 km, while the 9.1 kWh variant, using 4680 Bharat cells, boasts an impressive claimed range of 501 km.
