Maruti Suzuki has made its mark in the burgeoning electric vehicle segment with the unveiling of the e Vitara at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. This all-new electric SUV will also be offered as a rebadged model under the Toyota Urban Cruiser brand.
Underpinned by the brand’s advanced e Heartect platform, the e Vitara offers two battery pack options: a 49kWh unit and a larger 61kWh unit. Both battery packs are paired with a single electric motor. The smaller battery pack delivers 142 bhp, while the larger unit generates 172 bhp. Both versions share a common torque output of 192 Nm. Maruti Suzuki claims an impressive range of over 500 kilometers on a single full charge for both variants.
Bold Design and Advanced Features

The e Vitara boasts a bold and contemporary design, featuring distinctive triangular-shaped LED headlamps and taillights, fog lights integrated into the air dam, rugged body cladding, a blacked-out roof, 18-inch alloy wheels, and C-pillar-mounted rear door handles.
The interior of the e Vitara is equally impressive, offering a host of advanced features. Highlights include a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a 360-degree camera system, ventilated front seats, an electronic parking brake with an auto-hold function, a wireless mobile charger, automatic climate control, and cruise control. Notably, the e Vitara is the first Maruti Suzuki vehicle to be equipped with an advanced Level 2 ADAS suite.

Further enhancing the premium experience are features such as a 10-way power-adjustable driver seat, sliding and reclining rear seats, seven airbags for enhanced safety, a premium Harman Kardon sound system, multiple drive modes, ambient lighting, a 10.1-inch infotainment system, a 10.25-inch instrument console, ventilated front seats, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and disc brakes on all four wheels.
