Mahindra’s latest electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and BE 6, have achieved a remarkable milestone by securing 30,179 bookings within the first day of opening. The total booking value, based on ex-showroom prices, stands at an impressive ₹8,472 crore. This achievement is significant, considering that India’s total electric passenger vehicle sales for the entire calendar year 2024 were approximately 1 lakh units.
The BE 6 is priced from ₹18.90 lakh, while the XEV 9e starts at ₹21.90 lakh. Bookings for both models remain open through select Mahindra dealerships across India and the company’s official website.
High Demand for Top-End Variants
Among the total bookings, 56% were for the XEV 9e, while 44% were for the BE 6. Notably, the top-end Pack Three variant, featuring a 79 kWh battery, accounted for 73% of all bookings. This highlights the increasing demand for premium electric vehicles (EVs) in India and the strong interest in Mahindra’s advanced EV lineup.
This overwhelming response reinforces customer confidence in Mahindra’s UNLIMIT India vision, which focuses on delivering cutting-edge, high-performance electric SUVs with a combination of luxury, innovation, and technology. Unveiled on November 26, 2024, the Made-in-India, For-the-World XEV 9e and BE 6 have generated significant excitement in the EV market.
Mahindra XEV 9e, BE 6 Delivery Timeline
Deliveries for both models will begin in a phased manner, starting in March 2025:
- Pack Three – From Mid-March 2025
- Pack Three Select – From June 2025
- Pack Two – From July 2025
- Pack One Above – From August 2025
- Pack One – From August 2025
Mahindra has assured a smooth and transparent delivery process. Customers will receive tentative delivery timelines within the next three weeks, with regular updates from the company.
