Lamborghini Urus SE

Lamborghini has officially launched the Urus SE, a much-anticipated plug-in hybrid variant of its popular Urus SUV. Priced at ₹4.54 crore (ex-showroom), the Urus SE joins the existing lineup of Urus S and Urus Performante in India. This model, which made its global debut earlier this year, is Lamborghini’s second hybrid vehicle on the international market.

The Urus SE not only introduces a hybrid powertrain but also features several updates to its interior and exterior design. Let’s delve into the changes that make this model stand out.

Lamborghini Urus SE: Design Enhancements

The Urus SE benefits from a series of cosmetic upgrades, giving it a refreshed and more aggressive appearance. The front fascia now sports a redesigned bumper and grille, complemented by sleeker LED headlights that contribute to a bolder overall look. The hood has been reimagined with a floating design, moving away from the previously vented versions. At the rear, the SUV features a new spoiler, diffuser, and Y-shaped tail lamps. The sides are enhanced with newly designed 23-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires. Additionally, buyers have the option to choose from over 100 color variations, including two new exclusive shades: Arancio Egon with an Arancio Apodis interior and Bianco Sapphirus paired with a Terra Kedros interior.

Lamborghini Urus SE: Interior Upgrades

Inside, the Urus SE offers a more refined cabin with a redesigned front dashboard. A larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen now dominates the center console, providing intuitive controls and graphics similar to those found in Lamborghini’s Revuelto. The interior also features updated air vents, anodized aluminum accents, and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display seamlessly integrated into the dashboard and center console, enhancing the overall driving experience.

Lamborghini Urus SE: Powertrain and Performance

Under the hood, the Urus SE is powered by a sophisticated hybrid system that combines a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine with an electric motor, delivering a total output of 800 hp and 950 Nm of torque. The SUV is equipped with a 25.9-kWh lithium-ion battery housed beneath the floor, offering an electric-only range of over 60 kilometers. This hybrid setup improves the Urus SE’s power-to-weight ratio to 3.13 kg/CV, a significant enhancement from the 3.3 kg/CV of the Urus S.

The Urus SE is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 312 km/h. The hybrid powertrain introduces four new Electric Performance Strategies (EPS) to the vehicle’s existing six driving modes, bringing the total to eleven. These include the traditional Strada, Sport, and Corsa modes for different driving conditions, as well as off-road modes like Neve, Sabbia, and Terra. The new EPS modes—EV Drive, Hybrid, Performance, and Recharge—further enhance the driving experience, offering versatility and adaptability in various environments.
