Kia EV6 GT Gets a Mid-Cycle Refresh with Performance Upgrades

Kia has unveiled the updated 2026 EV6 GT, a high-performance electric vehicle that builds on the success of its predecessor. This new model boasts a host of improvements, including a more aggressive design, enhanced technology, and increased power and range.

Exterior and Interior Upgrades

The 2026 EV6 GT features a more aggressive exterior design, with sharper lines, larger air intakes, and a redesigned rear diffuser. It also rides on 21-inch alloy wheels and sports striking lime-green brake calipers. Inside, the cabin is adorned with a sporty “Black & Neon” theme, featuring black leather and suede upholstery with lime-green accents. A curved 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and infotainment display provide a modern and intuitive user experience.

Performance Boost and Virtual Gearbox

The EV6 GT’s dual-motor powertrain has been upgraded to deliver 601 horsepower and 740 Nm of torque, with a temporary boost mode that can increase output to 645 horsepower and 770 Nm. This allows the EV6 GT to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. To add a touch of driving excitement, Kia has introduced a virtual gear shift system that simulates gear shifts with sound effects and torque modulation.

Increased Range and Fast Charging

Thanks to a larger 84 kWh battery, the 2026 EV6 GT offers an increased range of 355 kilometers. It also supports 350 kW fast charging, allowing for quick charging times.
