Hyundai is gearing up to launch its highly anticipated electric SUV, the Creta EV, in India in January 2025. This all-electric vehicle is set to rival the Tata Curvv EV and MG ZS EV, offering a compelling blend of style, technology, and sustainability.
Design and Features
The Creta EV will be based on the recently launched ICE Creta facelift. While retaining the core design elements of its petrol and diesel counterparts, the electric version will feature unique styling cues such as a charging port, new aero wheels, and a distinctive steering wheel.
Key design highlights of the Creta EV include a split headlamp design, refreshed front and rear bumpers, LED light bars, and a blanked-off grille. Inside, the cabin will be equipped with a range of advanced features, including a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, an advanced ADAS suite, dual 10.25-inch screens, and a wireless charger.
Powertrain and Range
Specific technical details about the Creta EV’s powertrain and battery pack are yet to be officially announced. However, it is expected to be powered by a 50-60kWh battery pack, offering a range of up to 500 kilometers on a single charge.
With the Creta EV, Hyundai aims to capitalize on the growing demand for electric vehicles in India. The company is confident that this all-electric SUV will set new benchmarks in terms of technology, performance, and range.
