Hyundai Launches Creta Electric at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025

Hyundai has launched the highly anticipated Creta Electric at the Bharat Mobility Expo, marking a significant step forward in the brand’s electric vehicle strategy. Priced competitively at Rs. 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom introductory), the Creta Electric aims to capture a substantial share of the growing electric SUV market.

The Creta Electric retains the familiar silhouette of its ICE counterpart while incorporating distinctive electric vehicle design cues. A blanked-off front grille replaces the traditional radiator grille, flanked by vertically stacked headlamps and L-shaped LED DRLs. The rear features striking L-shaped LED taillights and an integrated LED light bar. The Creta Electric rides on aerodynamically optimized 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels shod with low-rolling resistance tires and incorporates Active Air Flaps to enhance aerodynamics and efficiency.

Feature-Rich and Technologically Advanced

The Creta Electric is available in four distinct variants: Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence. This electric SUV offers a range of advanced features, including a shift-by-wire system and a convenient digital key that enables users to lock, unlock, and start the vehicle using their smartphone or smartwatch.

Powertrain and Charging Options

Hyundai offers the Creta Electric with a choice of two battery pack sizes: 42kWh and 51.4kWh. The 42kWh battery pack delivers a claimed range of 390 kilometers, while the 51.4kWh battery pack extends the range to 473 kilometers. The long-range variant boasts an impressive 0-100kmph acceleration time of 7.9 seconds.

The Creta Electric supports fast DC charging, enabling a 10-80% charge in approximately 58 minutes. For home charging convenience, the vehicle can be fully charged from 10% to 100% in approximately four hours using an 11kW wall box charger. Additionally, the Creta Electric offers Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, allowing users to power external devices using the vehicle’s battery.
