DS Automobiles has unveiled a series of teasers for its upcoming fully electric fastback crossover, expected to be named the DS8. This highly anticipated EV is set to make its debut before the end of the year, offering an impressive WLTP range of 466 miles (750 kilometers).
While this is the first official glimpse of the new EV, spy shots have already provided insights into its design, both exterior and interior. The latest teasers, though camouflaged, highlight the vehicle’s aerodynamic profile and unique styling cues. The gold and black livery, inspired by DS Formula E racing cars, further emphasizes the EV’s performance-oriented character.
Key design features include a sleek roofline, active front air intakes, a low-slung hood, and flying buttresses, all contributing to a drag coefficient of just 0.24 cd. The front end sports a distinctive grille-less design with striking “DS Pixel Vision” lights featuring vertical DRLs, while the rear end showcases sharp LED taillights.
The crossover’s raised suspension and subtle plastic cladding give it a rugged appearance, setting it apart from traditional coupe SUVs. Inside, the cabin is expected to offer a premium and technologically advanced experience, with a focus on driver comfort and convenience. Earlier spy shots have revealed a four-spoke steering wheel, a digital cockpit, futuristic controls, and high-quality materials.
Our next flagship is on the road after over a million km of testing. Its camouflage reveals a key detail: 750km electric range, setting a new standard in its segment.

The DS8 will be built on the STLA Medium platform, which also underpins various other models from Stellantis. Despite sharing the same 98 kWh battery pack with the Peugeot E-3008, the DS8 boasts a significantly longer range, thanks to its optimized aerodynamics and efficiency.
While DS is committed to an all-electric future from 2024 onwards, the flexibility of the STLA Medium platform allows for the integration of mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. As the launch of the DS8 approaches, we eagerly await more details about its specifications, performance, and pricing.
