The Callum Skye, a stylish electric sports car, is inching closer to production, with the company recently unveiling its minimalist interior. While the design leans towards the modern trend of incorporating large touchscreens, Callum’s signature design language is evident throughout.
The interior is a harmonious blend of luxury and functionality. The steering wheel, wrapped in a combination of leather and microfiber, exudes elegance. A distinctive Vitamin C loop, echoed in the door pulls, adds a touch of uniqueness. The two-tone doors, accented with satin gunmetal grey, further contribute to the car’s sophisticated aesthetic.
The interior also features a blend of traditional and modern elements. Large analog gauges complement a smaller touchscreen display that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The minimalist center console houses touchscreen rotary dials, a push-button shifter, and other essential controls. Two compact cup holders and stainless steel pedals with rubberized accents complete the interior.
Callum has confirmed that the Skye will be equipped with Bridge of Weir semi-aniline leather sport seats with contrast stitching. The removable rear bench, suitable for children, adds to the car’s versatility.
In terms of sustainability, the latest Skye prototype showcases body panels made from a flax composite with bio-resin. Callum hints at the possibility of offering these eco-friendly panels as an option on the production model.
The Callum Skye, with its 42 kWh battery pack, all-wheel-drive system, and estimated range of 170 miles, promises a thrilling driving experience. The car is expected to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under four seconds and is priced between £80,000 and £110,000.
