Cadillac’s push into electrification has reached a new milestone with the unveiling of the 2026 Lyriq-V, its first fully electric V-Series vehicle. This high-performance luxury crossover is not only a significant step forward for the brand but also its quickest road car to date, boasting cutting-edge technology and impressive performance metrics.
Equipped with a 102 kWh lithium-ion battery, the Lyriq-V features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivering an estimated 615 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. Weighing 346 lbs less than the Vistiq, the Lyriq-V achieves an astounding 0-60 mph acceleration time of approximately 3.3 seconds in Velocity Max mode, surpassing the CT5-V Blackwing by a tenth of a second.

However, this performance comes at a tradeoff, as the range is limited to 285 miles, less than the 303-319 miles offered by other Lyriq AWD models. For recharging, a DC fast charger adds 75 miles in just 10 minutes, while home charging options range from 19 to 44 miles per hour, depending on the charger.

The Lyriq-V also incorporates advanced performance features like a quicker steering ratio, a lowered multi-link suspension with continuous damping control, and Brembo front brakes with 15.35-inch discs. Additional driving modes, including Launch Control, V-Mode, and Competitive Mode, enhance agility and driving excitement.

Design updates include a unique front fascia, sportier side skirts, 22-inch wheels, and exclusive Magnus Metal Frost paint. Inside, the cabin boasts V-Series branding, premium upholstery, and a 33-inch display with a V-specific infotainment system. The Lyriq-V is also Cadillac’s first model to offer a dual-plane augmented reality head-up display.

Production of the 2026 Lyriq-V will begin later this year in Tennessee, with a starting price of $79,990, positioning it as a more affordable alternative to the Tesla Model X Plaid.
