BYD Sealion 7 Launching Today in India!

BYD SEALION 7

BYD is upping its game in the Indian electric vehicle market with the launch of the Sealion 7. This premium SUV, the brand’s most expensive offering in India to date, is set to rival established players like the BMW iX1 L, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and Volvo EX40. The official launch is happening today, February 17, 2025, positioning the Sealion 7 as BYD’s flagship model, surpassing even the Seal. Enthusiasts have been anticipating this release since its appearance at the 2025 Auto Expo, with bookings opening on January 18th. The first 70 customers can expect deliveries to begin on March 7th.

The Sealion 7 is expected to carry a starting price tag of approximately Rs 50 lakh, placing it above the Seal, which is currently priced between Rs 41 lakh and Rs 53 lakh (ex-showroom). With a length of 4.8 meters and a wheelbase of 2.9 meters, the Sealion 7 promises ample space for passengers and cargo.

Sporting BYD’s distinctive Ocean Series design language, the Sealion 7 follows the Seal as the second model in India to showcase this aesthetic.
