BMW Motorrad India has officially opened bookings for its latest electric two-wheeler, the BMW CE 02 electric scooter. This new urban mobility solution is set to hit Indian roads by mid-September 2024. Following the highly-priced BMW CE 04, which is available for Rs 14.90 lakh, the CE 02 will be positioned as a more affordable and practical alternative for electric two-wheeler enthusiasts in India.
One of the standout aspects of the CE 02 is that it is being manufactured locally by TVS Motors in India. This partnership has enabled BMW to offer the CE 02 at a much more accessible price point, making it an attractive option for urban commuters.

The BMW CE 02 is designed to be practical, with a minimalist aesthetic that prioritizes functionality. The scooter features a simple, clean design with minimal body panels. This not only gives the CE 02 a distinctive look but also reduces weight and improves overall efficiency.
Powering the CE 02 is an air-cooled synchronous motor paired with a 2kWh battery. Customers can choose between a single or dual battery setup. The single battery offers a range of 45 km and a top speed of 45 km/h, ideal for short city commutes. For those seeking more range, the addition of a second battery increases the range to 95 km, doubling its urban utility.
