SAIC-GM-Wuling’s Baojun brand has unveiled its flagship sedan, the Xiang Jing, marking a significant step forward in the brand’s commitment to technological advancement and performance enhancement.
The Xiang Jing will be available in both all-electric (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variants. With its substantial dimensions – 5,005 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, and 1,490-1,505 mm tall, along with a 2,900 mm wheelbase – the sedan offers a spacious and agile driving experience.
Designed for the mainstream market, the Xiang Jing caters to the diverse needs of urban commuters, from young families to professionals, seeking a high-quality and comfortable travel experience.
The name “Xiang Jing” holds profound significance. “Xiang,” meaning “enjoy,” reflects Baojun’s dedication to enhancing users’ quality of life through its innovative technologies and creating a pleasurable driving experience. “Jing,” translating to “territory,” symbolizes the brand’s forward-looking approach to product development and its commitment to partnering with progressive individuals in shaping a better future.
Yesterday, SAIC-GM-Wuling celebrated a significant milestone at its Liuzhou plant in Guangxi – the production of the first Xiang Jing. This achievement also marked the production of the 800,000th new energy vehicle by the joint venture in 2024.
