Vauxhall, the British arm of Opel, has introduced a sportier GS trim for its facelifted Vivaro van, catering to the growing demand for more stylish commercial vehicles. This follows the successful launch of the initial GS trim in 2022 and aims to compete with offerings like the Ford Transit Custom MS-RT.
The Vivaro GS boasts a distinctive appearance with a unique bodykit featuring an aerodynamic front bumper extension, side skirts, a revised rear bumper, and a piano-black roof spoiler. Riding on 18-inch black alloy wheels and adorned with the GS emblem, it’s available in Quartz Silver and Mercury Grey with both Panel Van and Doublecab body styles. While the styling elements could potentially be adapted to other Stellantis vans, the GS trim is currently exclusive to the Vauxhall Vivaro in the UK.

The interior reflects the sporty theme with “hand-crafted eco-leather” seats featuring the GS logo and red stitching. Standard equipment includes a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, and a host of driver-assistance features.

Powertrain Options
The Vivaro GS offers a choice of diesel and electric powertrains. The diesel engine, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, is available in 143 hp (107 kW) with a five-speed manual or 178 hp (132 kW) with an eight-speed automatic. The latter is the most powerful diesel option in the Vivaro lineup.
The electric Vivaro GS utilizes a single electric motor producing 134 hp (100 kW) and a 50-kWh battery pack, offering a WLTP-certified range of up to 209 miles.

Pricing and Availability
The Vauxhall Vivaro GS is now available for purchase in the UK, with prices starting at £39,990 ($49,500) for the diesel model and £48,940 ($60,500) for the electric variant. These prices exclude taxes but include the UK Government’s Plug-in Van Grant for the electric version.
