Kia has refreshed its popular Seltos SUV for 2025, launching it in India with a starting price of Rs 11.3 lakh and going up to Rs 20.50 lakh (ex-showroom). A key highlight of this update is the introduction of three new variants – HTE (O), HTK (O), and HTK+ (O) – designed to make premium features more accessible across the Seltos lineup. These new trims are available with both petrol and diesel engine options.
The HTE (O) now boasts an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted audio controls, and a 6-speaker sound system. Other additions include power windows for all doors, updated taillights, and a rearview mirror. The HTE (O) petrol is priced at Rs 11.13 lakh, while the diesel version costs Rs 12.71 lakh.

The HTK (O) variant adds a touch of luxury with a panoramic sunroof, along with 16-inch alloy wheels, a rear wiper with washer and defogger, cruise control, and a smart key. The HTK (O) is offered exclusively with a manual gearbox, with the petrol version priced at Rs 12.99 lakh and the diesel at Rs 14.56 lakh.

The HTK+ (O) sits at the top of these new additions, featuring larger 17-inch alloy wheels and an electronic parking brake (only with the automatic IVT option). Exterior enhancements include LED fog lamps, LED headlamps with sequential turn indicators, a gloss black grille, auto-folding ORVMs, and chrome accents. The HTK+ (O) offers the option of an automatic transmission. Pricing for this variant starts at Rs 14.4 lakh for the petrol manual, Rs 15.96 lakh for the diesel manual, Rs 15.76 lakh for the petrol CVT, and Rs 17.22 lakh for the diesel automatic.

The Seltos continues to be powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (115 PS, 144 Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (116 PS, 250 Nm), both available with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The petrol engine also gets a CVT automatic option, while the diesel has a 6-speed automatic. Higher trims also offer a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 160 PS.

With these updates, Kia aims to broaden the Seltos’ appeal in the competitive SUV segment, where it rivals the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, MG Astor, Honda Elevate, and VW Taigun. By offering more features in lower-spec trims, Kia is likely targeting a wider customer base.
