Suzuki is marking the end of an era with the unveiling of the Swift Sport ZC33S Final Edition, a limited-run model exclusively for the Japanese market. This move fuels speculation that the current generation may be the last Swift Sport, as the automaker has not announced plans for a hot version of the redesigned Swift.
Cosmetic Enhancements for the Finale
The Final Edition distinguishes itself with subtle yet stylish upgrades. These include a gloss black grille, exclusive 17-inch black alloy wheels, red brake calipers, and unique badging and decals. The interior features aluminum-style inserts with a “heat gradation” effect, along with “Sport” and “ZC33S powered by Suzuki” badges.
Performance Remains Unchanged
Under the hood, the Final Edition retains the familiar turbocharged 1.4-liter engine, delivering 138 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. This potent engine, combined with the car’s lightweight construction (970 kg), provides spirited performance. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
No Electrification for the Japanese Market
It’s worth noting that the Japanese-spec Swift Sport lacks the mild-hybrid system found in its European counterpart, which was introduced to comply with stricter emissions regulations.
Limited Availability and Pricing
Production of the Swift Sport ZC33S Final Edition is limited to a specific timeframe, from March to November 2025. Pricing starts at ¥2,329,800 for the manual and ¥2,401,300 for the automatic. While the standard Swift Sport will cease production in February 2025, it will remain available alongside the Final Edition until current inventory is depleted.
A Fitting Tribute
The Swift Sport ZC33S Final Edition serves as a fitting tribute to a beloved model. While its future remains uncertain, this limited-edition run allows enthusiasts to own a piece of Suzuki’s hot hatch legacy.
