Skoda has officially launched its most affordable offering in India, the Kylaq. This sub-compact SUV is positioned below the Kushaq and is built on the MQB-A0-IN platform. Bookings for the Kylaq are now open, with deliveries commencing on January 27, 2025.
Powertrain
The Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder TSI turbo-petrol engine that produces 114 horsepower and 178 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with either a six-speed manual or a torque converter automatic transmission.
Design
The Kylaq’s design is reminiscent of its larger sibling, the Kushaq. It features a sharp front end with a signature Skoda grille, split LED headlights, and contrast-colored skid plates. The side profile is characterized by 17-inch alloy wheels, black roof rails, and a shark-fin antenna. At the rear, the Kylaq sports pentagon-shaped LED taillights and a black insert on the tailgate.

Inside, the Kylaq offers a dual-tone beige and black interior with a range of features, including:

Variants and Pricing
The Kylaq is available in four variants: Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige. Prices for the Kylaq range from Rs 7.89 lakh to Rs 14.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The automatic transmission is available on all variants except the base model.
With its stylish design, feature-rich interior, and peppy engine, the Skoda Kylaq is poised to compete with other popular sub-compact SUVs like the Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite.
