While the third-generation Dacia Duster is making waves elsewhere, Brazil continues to embrace the second-generation model, albeit badged as a Renault. This popular small SUV isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, having received updates for the 2026 model year.
The second-gen Dacia Duster debuted in 2017, with Brazilian production of its Renault counterpart starting in 2020. Although the European version received a refresh in 2022, Brazil’s model only got its mid-cycle facelift in 2024. Even with the next-gen Duster now available in markets like Turkey and South Africa, Brazil remains committed to the outgoing model.
The 2026 model year brings subtle changes, including a shark fin antenna, a glossy black roof paired with a matching grille, and standard LED headlights across all trims. The top-tier Iconic Plus, powered by a turbocharged 1.3-liter engine, gets additional visual enhancements: glossy black 17-inch Tergan alloy wheels, Megalith Gray skid plates, and roof bars.

For a more rugged look, the optional Outsider Pack adds extra lights to the front bumper and additional side moldings. The interior remains unchanged, featuring an analog instrument cluster and an 8-inch infotainment display.
Under the hood, the Renault Duster offers two engine choices: a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter SCe gasoline engine producing 118 hp (120 PS), and a more powerful turbocharged 1.3-liter TCe flex-fuel engine generating 161 hp (163 PS) on ethanol. The 1.6-liter engine can be paired with a manual or CVT, while the 1.3-liter is exclusively available with the XTronic CVT automatic. All Brazilian Duster models are front-wheel drive.

Pricing for the 2026 Renault Duster ranges from R$132,990 ($22,900) to R$167,690 ($28,900), a slight increase over the 2025 model. And if the continued presence of the second-gen Duster isn’t surprising enough, consider the Renault Oroch. This four-door pickup, based on the first-generation Duster, has been on sale since 2015. Despite a 2022 facelift, it remains fundamentally a first-gen Duster with a stretched wheelbase and a cargo bed, proving its enduring appeal in the Brazilian market.
