The Rolls-Royce Phantom, synonymous with unparalleled luxury and craftsmanship, has always been a statement of individuality. For discerning clients seeking an even more exclusive experience, Rolls-Royce offers the Bespoke program, where dreams are transformed into automotive reality. The Phantom Dragon, a one-off masterpiece commissioned by a Chinese client, exemplifies the pinnacle of this bespoke artistry.
A Subtle Exterior, A Daring Interior
Crafted to commemorate the Year of the Dragon in 2024, the Phantom Dragon presents a sophisticated exterior in Iced Diamond Black, ensuring understated elegance. However, the interior bursts with vibrant personality. Ardent Red leather envelops the front seats, dashboard, steering wheel, and door panels, creating a striking contrast. The owner’s family name, elegantly embroidered in ancient Chinese calligraphy, adorns the headrests.

The Gallery: A Masterpiece in Wood
A true highlight is the bespoke “Gallery,” Rolls-Royce’s term for the customized dashboard. Crafted from four distinct types of wood, the Gallery features a mesmerizing depiction of two dragons entwined within clouds, meticulously assembled from 297 individual pieces. Further enhancing the celestial theme, the Starlight headliner incorporates an abstract representation of two dragons, one in red and one in white, adorned with 24 shooting stars.

A Testament to Bespoke Craftsmanship
“Our objective was to seamlessly integrate the client’s personal iconography and the profound symbolism of the dragon with the inherent elegance of Rolls-Royce design,” explained Shuai Feng, lead bespoke designer at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. “The Phantom Dragon exemplifies our artisans’ dedication, capturing the essence of the client’s vision and the enduring legacy of the Rolls-Royce brand.”

The cost of this bespoke masterpiece remains undisclosed, but it undoubtedly represents a significant investment beyond the already substantial price of a standard Phantom.
