Skoda is set to reignite the diesel segment in India with the imminent launch of the fourth-generation Superb around Diwali this year. Following its global debut in 2023, the Superb made its Indian debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, signaling its return to the market.
The biggest news, however, lies under the hood. After a hiatus since 2019, the Superb will mark the return of Volkswagen Group’s renowned 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine to the Indian market. Initially, the Superb will be offered exclusively with this diesel engine, with a petrol engine option expected to follow at a later stage.

A New Era of Design and Technology:
Based on the versatile MQB Evo platform, the new Superb showcases evolved dimensions with increased length and height while maintaining the same wheelbase. The design retains the signature Skoda grille, now flanked by sleek, swept-back headlamps, and features clean, crisp body lines.
Inside, the cabin embraces a minimalist aesthetic with a 13-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system dominating the dashboard. A 10-inch ‘Virtual Cockpit’ digital instrument cluster provides essential driver information. However, the highlight is the inclusion of three innovative ‘Smart Dials’ below the central air-con vents. These rotary controls integrate small screens, allowing for intuitive control of various in-car functions, including climate control, seat heating/ventilation, and customizable features.
