Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has expanded its CNG lineup with the launch of the new-generation Swift S-CNG. This compact hatchback is now available in three variants: V, V(O), and Z, and is priced between Rs. 8,19,500 and Rs. 9,19,500 (ex-showroom).
Improved Fuel Efficiency and Performance
The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG offers a significant improvement in fuel economy compared to its predecessor. It boasts a claimed fuel efficiency of 32.85 km per kg, which is 6% more efficient than the older model. This is made possible by the adoption of the 1.2L three-cylinder Z12E Dual VVT petrol engine.
Power and Torque
In CNG mode, the Swift S-CNG produces 101.8 Nm of torque at 2,900 rpm. This powertrain is paired with a five-speed manual transmission. While the maximum power output in CNG mode is slightly lower than the petrol version, it delivers ample performance for everyday driving.
Feature-Rich Interior
The new Swift S-CNG is packed with features to enhance comfort and convenience. Highlights include six airbags, Electronic Stability Program+, Hill Hold Assist, automatic climate control, a rear AC vent, a wireless charger, 60:40 split rear seats, and a 7-inch Smart Play Pro infotainment system with Suzuki Connect technology.
Subscription Option
Maruti Suzuki Subscribe is also available for the new Swift CNG, offering an all-inclusive monthly subscription starting at Rs. 21,628. This subscription covers registration, service and maintenance, insurance, and roadside assistance.
Strong Sales Performance
The new Swift has already achieved significant success in the Indian market, with over 67,000 units sold within four months of its launch. This indicates a strong demand for the model, and the introduction of the CNG variant is expected to further boost its popularity.
