BMW India has set a thrilling tone for luxury SUVs with the introduction of the captivating Shadow Edition of its flagship X3. This exclusive offering caters to drivers who appreciate a bold and sophisticated aesthetic, all while retaining the exhilarating performance synonymous with the X3. Priced at Rs 74.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the Shadow Edition is available in the powerful xDrive20d M Sport variant, making it a compelling choice for those seeking a dynamic driving experience shrouded in an air of mystery.
Design:
The Shadow Edition of the BMW X3 xDrive20d M Sport boasts a range of blacked-out design elements. It features a high-gloss black grille, gloss black exhaust pipes, window graphics, roof rails, roof frame, and kidney bars. The SUV rides on 19-inch light alloy wheels in Y-spoke design 887M.
Interior and Equipment:
The Shadow version features a multifunction sports steering wheel and electric seat adjustment with memory function, as well as Vernasca leather upholstery. The interior is further equipped with a panoramic glass roof, electronic climate control (or electrochromic control, if applicable), 3-zone automatic climate control, rear sunshades, and ambient lighting.
The cabin also features a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with BMW operating system 7.0. The system includes 3D navigation, BMW gesture control, and is compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Engine and performance:
Under the hood of the BMW X3 xDrive20d M Sport Shadow Edition is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine. It is paired with an 8-speed Steptronic sports automatic transmission. It produces 190 hp and a maximum torque of 400 Nm. The SUV should be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 213 km/h.
