Toyota may be exploring new frontiers for the Land Cruiser lineup, but few anticipated this: a rugged makeover for the compact Roomy minivan. Japanese tuner ESB Style has unveiled the “Landc Roomy,” a unique blend of off-road aesthetics and everyday practicality.
Inspired by the iconic Land Cruiser Series 300, the “Landc Roomy” sports a bold new face featuring a prominent grille extension and aggressive bumper intakes. The rear end receives a sporty treatment with a body-colored diffuser, while optional roof racks enhance the adventurous appeal. To further emphasize the off-road character, the Roomy rides on white steel wheels wrapped in grippy Toyo Open Country R/T tires and benefits from a 30mm suspension lift for improved ground clearance.
While the exterior receives a significant transformation, the Roomy retains its standard powertrain options. This includes a choice of two 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engines, with the turbocharged variant delivering a modest 97 horsepower.
Inside, ESB Style introduces a foldable “Fox Mat” that transforms the Roomy into a makeshift camper, offering a unique sleeping solution within the compact confines of the vehicle.
The “Landc Roomy” is not limited to the Toyota-branded model. The kit is also compatible with the rebadged versions, the Daihatsu Thor and Subaru Justy, including older models equipped with the updated grille introduced in the 2020 facelift.
The “Landc Roomy” will make its public debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2025. However, the individual components are already available for purchase in Japan. The front bumper is priced at ¥100,000, the rear bumper at ¥60,000, the suspension lift kit at ¥50,000, the white steel wheels at ¥60,000, and the foldable mattress at ¥25,000. This brings the total cost of the “Landc Roomy” transformation to ¥295,000 before taxes.
