After a considerable wait, the Lynk & Co 08 plug-in hybrid SUV is set to debut in Europe this June, with a starting price of €52,995. This model, boasting an impressive 200 kilometers (124 miles) of all-electric range, aims to attract environmentally conscious buyers.
Built on the CMA Evo platform, shared with vehicles like the Polestar 2 and Volvo XC40, the Lynk & Co 08 is expected to closely mirror its Chinese counterpart in terms of specifications. This suggests it will feature a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine combined with a 39.5 kWh battery pack, enabling a total driving range of 1,100 kilometers (683 miles).
While the specific powertrain configuration for the European market remains undisclosed, the Chinese model offers both front-wheel and all-wheel drive options, the latter utilizing dual electric motors. The battery pack can be charged from 10% to 80% in approximately 33 minutes.

Competing in the competitive D-segment SUV market, the Lynk & Co 08 distinguishes itself with a distinctive and bold design. Signature LED daytime running lights, resembling falcon talons, and strategically placed headlamps contribute to its unique front fascia. The vehicle also features a black grille and aerodynamically designed wheels.

The 08’s profile showcases black wing mirrors, a contrasting black roof, and a striking black accent on the front doors. Flush door handles are incorporated for a streamlined appearance. The rear design includes LED taillights, a light bar, and a sporty black diffuser.

The interior of the European 08 is anticipated to mirror the Chinese model, featuring a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.4-inch central infotainment display. Notably, the vehicle will offer a massive 92-inch head-up display.

In Europe, the 08 will be available in Core and More trim levels, with details regarding the specific differences between these trims yet to be revealed. However, both trims are expected to be equipped with a comprehensive suite of technological features.
