Kia India has announced a price hike for all its models sold in India, effective from January 1, 2025. The increase, which varies by model and variant, is attributed to rising commodity prices and increased supply chain costs.
Kia’s current lineup in India includes the Seltos (mid-size SUV), Sonet (compact SUV), Carens (MPV), Carnival (premium MPV), EV6 (electric SUV), and EV9 (electric SUV). The brand is also gearing up to launch the Syros in the Indian market.
Hardeep Singh Brar, Sr. Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Kia India, explained that the price adjustment is necessary to offset the rising costs. He also emphasized that Kia is absorbing a significant portion of the increased costs to minimize the impact on customers.
Kia joins a growing list of automakers in India, including Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, and Tata Motors, who have also announced price hikes for their vehicles due to similar reasons.
