Hyundai India registers 15% YoY growth in Oct '23: Over 55,000 units sold

Hyundai Motor India continues to maintain its position as the second-largest car manufacturer in India in terms of sales.


Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) achieved notable sales results in October 2023, with a total of 68,728 units sold. This impressive figure comprises 55,128 units sold within the domestic market and 13,600 units exported. This performance signifies a remarkable year-on-year (YoY) growth of 14.84 percent compared to the 48,001 units sold in October of the previous year.

In terms of exports, Hyundai experienced substantial YoY growth, marking a 35.93 percent increase from the 10,005 units exported in October 2022.

Overall, the combined sales figures, encompassing both domestic and export markets, demonstrated robust growth, with an 18.48 percent increase last month. Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor India Ltd, commented on the October sales, stating, "As we enter the peak of the festive season in India, Hyundai Motor India achieved robust domestic market sales of 55,128 units in October."

He also highlighted the positive reception of the recent announcement regarding the standardization of six airbags across all Hyundai models and variants, which was well-received by valued customers. Garg further noted that the supply situation has returned to normal, and their network is fully prepared to ensure customer satisfaction with the timely delivery of their preferred Hyundai vehicles.

Hyundai's current product lineup encompasses 13 distinct models, including the Grand i10 NIOS, i20, i20 N Line, Aura, Exter, Venue, Venue N Line, Verna, Creta, Alcazar, Tucson, Kona Electric, and the flagship IONIQ 5. These vehicles are available at prices ranging from Rs 5.84 lakh to Rs 45.95 lakh (both ex-showroom). Hyundai Motor India continues to maintain its position as the second-largest car manufacturer in India in terms of sales.
