The Honda Elevate has been a significant launch for the Japanese automaker, strategically positioned in India’s fiercely competitive 4.3-meter SUV segment, which boasts over a dozen contenders. Recognizing the need to enhance the Elevate’s appeal, Honda is set to introduce a captivating Black Edition later this month.
Spy shots reveal a striking all-black exterior, contrasting sharply with the standard Elevate’s available color palette, which includes shades like Lunar Silver, Phoenix Orange, and Platinum White. The Black Edition features a deep Crystal Black Pearl paint job, complemented by blacked-out alloy wheels, smoked headlights and taillights, and likely tinted windows for an added touch of exclusivity.
The interior also embraces the all-black theme, deviating from the standard dual-tone black and brown scheme. This creates a sportier and more sophisticated cabin ambiance, aligning with the current trend for dark interiors in the Indian market.
Under the hood, the Elevate Black Edition is expected to retain the same 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 119 bhp and 145 Nm of torque. This engine will be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed CVT gearbox.
While the exact specifications and pricing are yet to be officially announced, the Elevate Black Edition is anticipated to command a slight premium over the standard model, catering to customers seeking a more distinctive and stylish SUV.
