Dodge may not currently offer sedans in the US and Canada, but they haven’t completely abandoned the segment, especially with the upcoming return of the Charger. In Mexico, Dodge recently unveiled the Attitude GT Green Hornet, a limited-edition model restricted to 300 units.
Despite the “Green Hornet” moniker, don’t anticipate any performance enhancements. This special edition is essentially a rebadged GAC Empow, a Chinese sedan already on the market. The primary distinction lies in its unique matte olive green paint, closely resembling the Shiny Fighter Green of the GAC Empow R, albeit with a more matte finish.

Other aesthetic upgrades include 18-inch satin black wheels, full LED headlights, and the inclusion of the GT trim’s quad tailpipes and active exhaust system. While these features contribute to a sportier appearance, they don’t translate to increased performance. The fixed rear wing is another stylistic addition.
The Green Hornet’s interior also mirrors the standard Attitude GT, with minor visual enhancements like red stitching on the seats and a carbon-finish center console. The leather-wrapped steering wheel, equipped with an active exhaust button, and the dual 10.25-inch screens remain unchanged.

Focus on Aesthetics, Not Performance
For those expecting a power boost to match the aggressive styling, the Green Hornet might be disappointing. It retains the turbocharged 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 168 horsepower and 199 lb-ft of torque found in the standard Attitude. While an improvement over previous generations based on the Hyundai Accent and Mitsubishi Mirage G4, it falls short of the performance potential offered by the GAC Empow R, which boasts a 2.0-liter engine and an enhanced chassis.
Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, enabling a 0-62 mph acceleration time of 6.95 seconds. The suspension setup remains unchanged, featuring the familiar multi-link rear axle.
Limited Availability and Pricing
The Dodge Attitude Green Hornet is currently available for order in Mexico, priced at 488,900 pesos (approximately $23,800). While Dodge emphasizes the “remarkable sales growth” of the GAC-based sedan since its August 2024 introduction, specific sales figures are not provided.
This report focuses on the key aspects of the Dodge Attitude GT Green Hornet, highlighting its limited production, cosmetic enhancements, and lack of performance upgrades. It also provides context by comparing it to the GAC Empow R and briefly discussing its pricing and availability in the Mexican market.
