The iconic V8-powered Dodge Charger, a beloved classic, has bid its final farewell. But fear not, Charger enthusiasts! A new era of performance is dawning with the upcoming inline-six-powered Charger. This modern marvel, ripe for customization, is already inspiring aftermarket tuners to unleash their creativity.
Abimelec Design has taken the initiative to envision the potential of this new Charger with stunning renderings. While the modifications are subtle, they significantly elevate the car’s appearance. A carbon fiber front lip and side skirts lower the profile, while a dramatic carbon fiber diffuser and ducktail spoiler enhance the rear. Completing the transformation are a set of stylish aftermarket wheels from Apex.
Initially, Dodge planned to launch the all-electric Charger first, followed by the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) “Sixpack” model in late 2025. However, recent reports suggest an accelerated timeline, with pilot production potentially starting as early as December 2024. This could lead to customer deliveries as soon as summer 2025. While Dodge hasn’t officially confirmed this earlier launch, they haven’t dismissed the possibility either.
The Charger Sixpack will be offered in two potent configurations. The entry-level twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six will deliver 420 horsepower, while the flagship model will boast a formidable 550 horsepower. Given Dodge’s penchant for performance, we wouldn’t be surprised to see even more powerful iterations of this engine in the future.
