BMW has unveiled two limited-edition versions of its M4 CS, named the Edition VR46, in honor of motorcycle racing legend Valentino Rossi, who now serves as a BMW M works driver in the World Endurance Championship. These exclusive models, limited to just 46 units each, represent the most premium offerings within the M4 lineup.
The Edition VR46 comprises “Sport” and “Style” variants, each with distinct aesthetic features. The Sport model is finished in Marina Bay Blue metallic paint, enhanced by prominent “46” decals in Tanzanite Blue metallic along its flanks. The Style variant features a Matte Frozen Tanzanite Blue metallic exterior, complemented by Frozen Marina Bay Blue metallic “46” graphics.

Both versions incorporate Rossi’s signature bright yellow accents, notably around the kidney grilles, brake calipers, and wheels. The Sport model further emphasizes this theme with fluorescent yellow trims along the roof edges and tailgate, along with a “VR46” graphic and Rossi’s signature on the roof.

The interior showcases M Carbon bucket seats upholstered in Merino leather, combining Black and Night Blue tones. The shoulder areas feature Sao Paulo Yellow Alcantara with a VR46 logo on the headrests, and the M Alcantara steering wheel also incorporates yellow trimmings.

Powering the BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 is a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine, producing 543 horsepower, distributed to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. This setup enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.2 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 188 mph (302 km/h).

Buyers of these exclusive models will receive an invitation to a two-day event in Italy, including a visit to Rossi’s VR46 Motor Ranch in Tavullia and a BMW M Driving Experience at the Misano World Circuit. In the United States, pricing for these special editions will start at $155,000.
