Audi has unleashed the updated RS Q8 in India, a performance SUV that commands attention with a starting price of Rs 2.49 crore (ex-showroom). This facelifted model brings a host of cosmetic enhancements both inside and out, building upon its already formidable presence. While the global version also saw powertrain changes, the Indian release focuses on refining the existing package. It’s worth noting that the RS Q8 previously held the Nurburgring lap record for SUVs, besting the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT Coupe by a significant two seconds.
The RS Q8 Facelift retains its aggressive styling, amplified compared to the standard Q8. The front fascia is dominated by a single-frame honeycomb grille with octagonal elements, flanked by matrix LED headlights with Audi laser light technology. The SUV’s stance is further enhanced by massive 23-inch, five-spoke forged RS wheels with a grey finish.

Inside, the RS Q8’s cabin reflects its performance focus. Alcantara trim adorns the steering wheel, gear knob, and door panels, creating a sporty yet luxurious atmosphere. Two large screens, one for the infotainment system and the other for the driver’s display, provide a modern and informative interface. Gloss black detailing throughout the cabin adds a touch of sophistication. Standard features include wireless charging, four-zone climate control, connected car technology, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof.

Under the hood, the RS Q8 Facelift packs a 4.0-litre bi-turbocharged V8 engine. This powerhouse generates a staggering 640 hp and 850 Nm of torque, making it the most potent engine ever fitted to an RS model. An 8-speed transmission channels this power to all four wheels, propelling the SUV from 0-100 kmph in a mere 3.6 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 305 kmph.
