Honda Cars India is gearing up to unveil the third-generation Amaze on December 4th, 2024. Even before its official launch, unofficial bookings have already begun, and the sedan has started arriving at dealerships across the country. This upcoming model is set to compete with the recently launched Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Tata Tigor, and Hyundai Aura.
The 2025 Honda Amaze is expected to be available in three variants: V, VX, and ZX. Compared to its predecessor, it will feature significant interior and exterior updates. Despite being over a decade old, the Amaze has remained a popular choice among Indian sedan buyers. The new model will introduce several new features and technologies.
The top-tier variant will be equipped with a range of modern amenities, including a floating touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), six airbags as standard, a reversing camera, wireless smartphone charging, a multi-functional steering wheel, rear AC vents, dual cup holders, and Type-C charging ports.
However, some features that might be missed in the new Amaze include an electric sunroof, powered seats, and a 360-degree camera system. Mechanically, the 2025 Amaze will retain the familiar 1.2-liter four-cylinder VTEC petrol engine, delivering around 90 horsepower. This engine can be paired with a five-speed manual transmission or a CVT.
The sedan’s exterior design has been inspired by Honda’s Elevate and City models. The front end has undergone a significant makeover, featuring sharp LED headlights integrated with sleek LED DRLs. The grille has been redesigned with chrome accents, and the bonnet has also been updated. The redesigned front bumper, along with the updated fog lamp housings, further enhances the 2025 Amaze’s road presence. While the exact pricing details are yet to be announced, it is expected that the new model will be slightly more expensive than its predecessor.
Honda has also revised the dashboard layout and center console of the new Amaze, giving it a more modern and up-to-date look.
