Hyundai India has recently launched a revamped version of its 7-seater SUV, the Alcazar. This mid-cycle refresh aims to revitalize the model’s popularity and compete against rivals like the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector, and Citroen C3 Aircross.

Design and Dimensions

The 2024 Alcazar boasts a more aggressive and muscular appearance compared to its predecessor. The front fascia features a bold H-shaped grille, connected LED DRLs, and a wide scuff plate. The sides showcase new 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, larger rear quarter windows, and black-painted cladding. The rear end receives a significant makeover with a revised spoiler, bumper, and skid plate, along with connected LED taillamps and sequential turn indicators.

Performance and Efficiency

The Alcazar facelift continues to offer a choice of two powertrain options: a 1.5L diesel engine and a 1.5L turbo-petrol engine. The diesel engine delivers 115 HP and 250 Nm of torque, while the turbo-petrol unit produces 160 HP and 253 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with manual or automatic transmissions.

The Alcazar also comes equipped with 3 drive modes (Normal, Eco, and Sport) and 3 traction modes (Snow, Mud, and Sand), paddle shifters, and idle start-stop system.
